He may not be able to see the world but he feels it with his whole heart! He's stunning, loving and he's completely blind. But don't let his blindness deter you. Blind dogs navigate the world with all their other senses and almost all blind dogs thrive when given a chance. Rune is no exception! He can do everything his less visually impaired friends can do and maybe even do it better. We have a feeling you'll love him just as much as we do. <br/><br/>Unbelievably Rune was found wandering the streets of Oildale alone. He was so incredibly lucky he wasn't hit by a car and even luckier a Good Samaritan picked him up and took him to the shelter. That Good Samaritan likely saved his life! Rune waited at the shelter for a month. His owners never claimed him and adopters passed him by. No one wanted a dog that was a little different. And Runes differences almost cost him his life. But we know how amazing blind dogs can be and so Rune got his chance and headed to our rescue ranch. <br/><br/>Although he can't see Rune has never looked back. He embraces wherever life takes him and has quickly become a staff favorite. He's already learned the layout of his areas at our ranch and his adjustment was speedy quick! Rune is super affectionate and dog friendly. He's ready to find a home that understands his visual differences don't hinder him and will give him the amazing home he's never had!
