Ruger's Story

This handsome guy is Ruger. A seven year old, eighty pound German Shepherd.
His previous family called him a GREAT boy and the PERFECT family dog. They have a special needs child and the medical risk due to upcoming surgeries became too great to keep a dog in their home. They were absolutely heartbroken to put Ruger up for adoption. They told us how attentive he was to their family and how he was good with other dogs and loves kids.
Ruger's foster mom has been very impressed with how polite he has been in their home. She explains that he only chews on his toys, he rides well in the car, he is good at the vet, and is very chill around food. He learns quickly and in the short time they have had him, he is already walking better on the leash. He knows the commands sit and come. Ruger is very friendly and loves attention. He will lay at your feet and will want to be wherever you are.
Here is a sweet, loyal, gentle dog, through absolutely no fault of his own, finds himself looking for a new family. Whoever gets to take him home will be very fortunate.
If you have any questions or would like to meet Ruger, please reach out to us at adoptafriendforlife.org.
