Rufus is a courtesy listing for STARPAWSRESCUE.org // Big Love Animal Rescue has no further information Rufus.<br/><br/>Please contact:  Starpawsrescue@gmail.com <br/><br/>Meet RUFUS...He's worth it!....he is a handsome approx. 8 year old Doberman mix, with possibly Shepherd mix, weighing 45lbs.<br/> <br/>Rufus is one amazing pup who loves being around people and other dogs of all sizes. He is a very well behaved boy who aims to please and is a pro at catching/chasing tennis balls. This sweetheart of a dog absolutely will jump for joy & be so happy when someone has balls to throw for him.  He's also a good alert dog! <br/><br/>Rufus was rescued from the shelter where he was found as a stray with no owner claiming him. He was quickly rescued and taken to the vet where he got a full exam. He has a non threatening little mass in one lung lobe which the vet is not worried about. So, Please Don't let Rufus' diagnosis sway you. <br/><br/>He also loves a good casual stroll and is a great companion on those walks. . <br/>A comfy snooze on the couch with you is one of his favorite pastimes, but he will also lay in his dog bed. He could go into a home that has another friendly dog or he could be an "only" dog if he has owners that are not gone long hours during the day. <br/><br/>We love this boy to pieces, and in our eyes, he is absolute perfection! A home that will spoil him and shower him with the love that he deserves, would be all we could hope for after being a stray, abandoned by heartless humans.<br/> <br/>We only adopt in Southern California along with an approved application, a home check and a 2 week trial period is offered.<br/> <br/>Rufus is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.<br/> <br/>If you would like more information on Rufus or would like an application emailed to you, please contact STARPAWSRESCUE@gmail.com - we will send you an application.

Big Love Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Hello and thank you for visiting Big Love Animal Rescue’s Petfinder page. This is the primary page of where all of our available animals are listed for adoption as well as on our instagram. Please note we do NOT have a brick and mortar location where you can meet our animals. All our animals are placed in pre-screened foster homes across LA county until they are adopted. Because we are a small rescue, we are limited on time, resources and manpower; with that, we unfortunately cannot reply to every inquiry while also maintaining our rescue duties. If you're interested in one of our dogs/cats, you must fill out an adoption application on our website in order to be considered. We review every single application submitted, and though we have hundreds of amazing, qualified applicants, we can only choose one applicant per dog. We then reach out to top applicant for a meet and greet. If it is a successful meet and greet, a three day trial is given before an adoption fee and contract is due. A home check is required as well. The adoption fee covers vaccinations to adoption date, microchip and spay/neuter at one of our veterinarians. We note we only adopt out in Southern California due to expenses, logistics and because we want to easily get the dog back if anything goes wrong at any point in their lives.
