Rueger's Story

Rueger is a 6-year-old chocolate-and-tan dachshund who weighs about 13-14 lbs. He has had a dental and is ready for adoption! He lost ten teeth and is now healed. He is looking for a home with other dogs and a family not gone long hours. He loves to be in your lap and gives the best hugs! He’s a talker and loves to bark, but is incredibly gentle. He has some thinning hair and alopecia in spots, but he loves sweaters and will help you dress him. He is good with cats and dogs that are friendly and relaxed. He does wobble due to his condition, but he does not have IVDD or seizures. His wobbles are likely from having distemper as a puppy or a mild case of cerebella hypoplasia. The vet mentioned that seizure meds might help him wobble less, but we want to leave that up to his forever home. Rueger likes cats and dogs. He loves both women and men, kids 8+ are great.
