Rue Spencer

Rue Spencer, a beautiful, delightful and sweet 6-8 month-old pup, is eagerly seeking to make the move from her temporary shelter residence into a permanent home. Weighing in at a very convenient 25 lbs., she will likely stay fairly small and top out at a highly manageable 30 to 35 lbs. This makes her perfectly sized for standard laps, car rides, and easily fitting in right next to you on the couch for movie night. She is a unique mix a beautiful blend who seems to have inherited the alert ears of a Miniature Pinscher and the spunky charm of a Terrier. (We always appreciate donations of DNA kits!) Rue is a puppy through and through. She comes standard with a high-energy engine and a heart of pure gold. She loves playing with people and other dogs, and seems to do well with kids, too. Her family will need to provide plenty of playtime, basic obedience training, attention, and a steady supply of patience & TLC. In exchange, Rue promises a lifetime of unconditional loyalty and excellent companionship. As an added bonus, shell even keep your kitchen floor crumb-free!<br/>*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he/she is a great fit. <br/>If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.<br/><br/>We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.<br/><br/>*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide. If they are incorrect, we will not be able to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone, so advise your references that there may be an unknown or private number calling them. Thank you!
