Rue Spencer, She is charming, she is sweet, she is bouncy, wiggly, and just a little bit mischievous. This precious pup is approaching her first birthday and cannot wait to celebrate with her new family. The only problem is, she has not found them yet! Little Rue is just over 21 lbs., a cute little grab bag of breeds, is she part Min Pin? Maybe a little terrier? A smidge of kangaroo or gazelle? We think the mystery adds to her appeal! She is more or less full-grown at her current height & weight, is highly food-motivated which goes a long way with her training, and is working on her house training, but most of all, she has lots of love for everyone. Humans & dogs alike, they are all friends waiting to be made. If you have the time, patience, and energy to invest in a young dog, and are looking for a devoted companion, Rue should be number 1 on your list!<br/>She perfectly sized for standard laps, car rides, and easily fitting in right next to you on the couch for movie night. She is a unique mix, a beautiful blend who seems to have inherited the alert ears of a Miniature Pinscher and the spunky charm of a Terrier. (We always appreciate donations of DNA kits!) Rue is a puppy through and through. She comes standard with a high-energy engine and a heart of pure gold. She loves playing with people and other dogs, and seems to do well with kids, too. Her family will need to provide plenty of playtime, basic obedience training, attention, and a steady supply of patience & TLC. In exchange, Rue promises a lifetime of unconditional loyalty and excellent companionship. As an added bonus, she will even keep your kitchen floor crumb-free!<br/>*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he/she is a great fit. <br/>If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.<br/><br/>We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.<br/><br/>*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide. If they are incorrect, we will not be able to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone, so advise your references that there may be an unknown or private number calling them. Thank you!
