Rudy is looking for a lap, love and a whole new lease on life! He came to us after his breeder no longer wanted or needed him. We were more than happy to welcome him with open arms and show him just how incredible life can be when there's comfy couches, endless cuddles and humans who adore him! <br/><br/>Rudy is 10lbs and just shy of 4 years old and is the perfect age...a bit older and wiser but energy to keep up on adventures or chasing his favorite toy in the yard. Rudy is a typical Miniature Poodle and bonds very closely to his people. He is very loyal and very smart. He is still learning about life and living outside of a kennel setting, but is taking it in stride and gaining confidence daily! He certainly looks to his humans for reassurance. Rudy is a cuddle bug at his core and LOVES to spend his afternoons snoozing next to his foster mom. He also would really like to sleep in bed with you. ;-) <br/><br/>Rudy is potty trained and does well in a crate when left at home. He gets along with everyone he meets and prioritizes human affection above anything else. He loves to give kisses and even his groomer stated that his groom took longer than usual because he kept wanting to lick her hand. LOL He lives harmoniously with other dogs and cats but could really care less if they were there or not. He does occasionally look to other dogs for guidance but it's typically in new situations (like going down stairs for the first time) and once he's figured it out, he'll pass that same dog going down them to stay closer to his person! We nicknamed Rudy "the jumping bean" because when he's happy and excited, this dude has hops! He has such a loving and silly personality once he feels comfortable and safe. Rudy can be a bit shy when initially meeting new humans but wants to be best friends quickly. He can get overwhelmed with people bending over him or racing up to him simply because of his past. Because of this, we do feel he would thrive in a home with older, more dog savvy children. <br/><br/>Rudy's adoption fee includes his neuter, dental cleaning, heartworm/tick borne illness testing, vaccines, dewormings and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Rudy is also genetic tested and his results will go with his adopter. Our sweet, little Rudy Roo is so ready to find his forever people who will give him the spoiled life he's always deserved!
