Originally rescued as a stray in Kentucky, Rudy’s present owners adopted him from a shelter in rural Rhode Island. While the family adores Rudy, their first Coonhound rescue has been unable to peacefully accept a sibling. <p>Rudy is crate trained, 90% house trained, sleeps through the night, walks well on a leash (except when tracking something interesting) and rides perfectly in the car. Although shy at first, Rudy is exceptionally sweet, affectionate and playful. He’s also very smart, a good listener and learns commands quickly. Rudy loves his people, long walks in the park, car rides, Nylabone chew toys, soft beds & blankets and frequent belly rubs. He does well with other dogs, older children (as he still likes to jump up when excited) and doesn’t seem overly interested in cats. <p> Rudy is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm/flea preventatives.
