Rudy's Story

Rudy – Bull Terrier mix – 2yrs. – male (55lbs)

Meet Rudy! He’s a spunky pup that has not had any breaks in his life at this point, but we hope to change that! Rudy started out being dumped at a shelter by his original owners. He sat there for months and then was finally adopted. Sadly, his new owners were not any better than his first owners… they were actually worse! When they decided, after a very short time, that they didn’t want him anymore, they dumped him in the county dump! Yes, the actual city landfill! 😖 The poor guy lived there, eating garbage for nearly three weeks before they were able to catch him and take him back to the county shelter. That’s where we saw him and heard his horrible story and knew we needed to do better for this resilient boy.

Rudy has been settling in at our shelter and is doing great. He’s a happy guy with a big personality. Rudy doesn’t have accidents in his kennel so we believe he’s housebroken. He is an athlete and needs regular exercise for both his mind and body. He loves to go for walks, hikes, and runs. You can tell he really enjoys being out and about. Rudy loves people and gets very excited to meet anyone new. He plays well with other dogs and has several playmates at our shelter. He definitely prefers the ladies, so we think he’d do best with a female canine companion. We do know that he’s not good with cats and small animals… he is, after all, part bull terrier. 😂 Rudy has an amazing zest for life and he’s ready to share that with someone who will love and appreciate him for the rest of his life. If our sweet boy’s story tugs at your heart and you too believe that Rudy deserves better from humans, please consider adopting this sweetie and giving him his first real home…one that lasts forever!

Complete our application to meet and adopt Rudy: https://form.jotform.com/91891552799173
