It seems he had a rough life before coming to the shelter. His scars tell a story no one will know. But Rudy doesn't live in the past, he lives in the fun and cozy moments of his life now. <br/><br/>He is a sweet and eager to please boy who is content with being near his person no matter what they're doing, especially lounging around the house. He's curious and loves to smell and investigate the world around him. He makes the funniest snorts when he's deep into a smell! He loves to put his nose to work with snuffle mats, a staple in our routine, along with licky mats. When he gets excited he likes to sprint and pounce on the closest toy and then gets rowdy like he wants to wrestle. <br/><br/>Rudy enjoys walks and can get excited but we're working on walking manners. He does have a high prey drive when it comes to rabbits and cats which makes night time walks challenging. Rudy would probably do best with a yard but would also be ok with an owner who is patient and will continue his training to make his walks comfortable for him and for the person walking him. He plays with toys by himself and is unsure what to do when someone joins in. He still has a lot to learn about the fun parts of being a dog. We may just not have found the right toy or maybe having a dog sibling would give to opportunity to teach him how to play. <br/><br/>Rudy has a lot of love to give and a lot of smooches to hand out along the way. He's a happy boy who doesn't ask for much, just a comfy spot to relax next to you and get all the kisses on his big ol' head.
