Rudolph - Lab pup runt's Story
Meet Rudolph, our happy 11-week-old Lab mix pup (as of Dec 1st). He is cuddly, playful, sweet, smart, super friendly and full of love to give. He loves to play with other dogs, big and small, and is used to playing with our kids who love carrying him around and cuddling with him. He is our kids’ favorite of the pack to cuddle with because he is the calmest of the 3 puppies and is very happy to just sit on their laps and be loved on for as long as they’ll have him. At 14lbs, he is the runt of the litter, and is significantly smaller than similar age Lab puppies so we think he is mixed with a smaller breed given his size and curly tail. He is definitely not alpha, but he stands his ground and plays just as rough with his siblings who are almost twice his size. It’s hard to believe that the strong, happy and thriving pup we have now is the same scared pup we found along with 2 of his litter mates abandoned in a box in a culvert at 5 weeks of age. He weighed only 1.8lbs, had not been weaned, had fleas, mange and worms, and couldn’t stop shivering. For the past 4 weeks, he has been treated for all these conditions at his foster home and under veterinary care and is back to full health, almost ready to find his forever family. I say ‘almost’ because he still needs to finish all his puppy shots and be neutered before being available for adoption, but he will have those completed and will be ready to find his forever home around the first week of December. Until then, we can certainly take applications and schedule meet and greets if you think he might be the missing piece of your family. If you are interested in Rudolph, the first step is to fill out an application at the link below. It is not a commitment to adopt him, just a means of introduction. Once we receive your application, his foster parents will reach out to discuss the process and plan a meet and greet.<br/>https://ffar.wufoo.com/forms/application-to-adopt-a-dog-from-ffar-plano-tx-copy/
