Rudolph's Story

Hi! I’m Rudolph.

I’m about 6 months old, 35 pounds, and if you ask my foster mom, basically the perfect little shadow.

I came all the way from Puerto Rico where I was rescued with my siblings. Sadly, I was the only one who made it, but my foster family says I must have a very special heart because somehow I’m still the sweetest, happiest, most loving boy around. I decided pretty early on that life is for cuddles, snacks, adventures, and making friends.

I arrived in the NYC area on May 16th and immediately got to work charming everyone in my foster home — including my foster dog brother, foster dog sister, and even my two foster cat brothers. Honestly? I LOVE them all. The cats are still deciding if they’re ready to be my best friends, but I’m staying optimistic.
I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give me a few treats and suddenly we are bonded for life. My foster mom says I make people fall in love with me very quickly. (I can’t help it. I’m adorable.)

Some other things you should know about me:

• I sleep through the night in my crate like a very good boy.
• I’m doing amazing with potty training.
• I’m great in the car.
• I LOVE hikes and walks and stay right by your side on leash.
• I’m super food motivated, which means training me should be easy peasy.
• I love to play with dogs, humans, and probably anyone willing to toss a toy.
But my favorite thing? My people.

Every morning when my foster mom lets me out of my crate, I get SO excited to see her. She says I know how to make a girl feel special. What can I say? I just really love being loved.

I’ve been through a lot for such a little guy, but somehow I still wake up every day excited about the world. I’m looking for a family who wants a loyal sidekick, cuddle buddy, hiking partner, best friend, and professional shadow all rolled into one very handsome puppy.
Could that be you?

To Adopt:
Fill out an application at thesatoproject.org/applicationform.
Questions?
Email us at adoption@thesatoproject.org

About The Sato Project:
The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs.
