We took one look at him and knew we couldn’t leave him behind.<br/><br/>Rudolph is a senior (around 10 years old) but you wouldn’t know it—he’s active, enjoys his walks, and still gets very excited for treats. He’s a great little companion at about 14 pounds: small enough to be portable, but sturdy and confident.<br/><br/>He’s been in a foster home for a few months now and has been an easy, enjoyable dog to have around. He does well with other dogs and settles in nicely. He hasn’t been around cats, so slow introductions would be best.<br/><br/>Rudolph recently had a dental, and his teeth are in great shape with no extractions needed. He is a bit hard of hearing, but it doesn’t slow him down or affect his day-to-day life.<br/><br/>Overall, he’s just a really solid, low-drama dog who’s ready for a home of his own.

The first step in meeting our adoptable animals is the breed/species-specific application at www.ILDobeRescue.com. We do a vet check, landlord/association verification, and home visit to ensure a permanent placement for our wonderful animals. Thank you for considering rescue! We look forward to working with you.  IDR+ is a network of foster homes; therefore, we do not have a location to visit. The first step in meeting our adoptable animals is the specific application at www.ILDobeRescue.com for a Doberman, Plus dog (non-Dobe), or cat. Approved adopters are then directed to our foster homes.
