Ruby June's Story

Ruby June is an 11-month old, 72 lb. yellow Lab with a joyful spirit and energy to spare. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready for her next chapter. She loves people, thrives on attention, and is happiest when she’s part of the action. If there’s something going on, Ruby June wants to be right in the middle of it — preferably as close to her humans as possible.

Like most young dogs, Ruby June is still learning the ropes. She can get excited and jump up when greeting people — she just loves big! She is smart as a whip and eager to learn, and she’s already adapting to structure and guidance in her foster home. With consistency and exercise, her enthusiasm can be shaped into wonderful Labby behavior. Given her young age and jumping-up habit, she’d likely do best with older children who can handle her enthusiasm.

Ruby June gets along well with other dogs and even cats, enjoys being around her people, and does well in a crate. She has that classic young Lab personality — playful, affectionate, and full of potential. She plays non-stop with the other dog in her foster home, and would love to have a canine companion in her Forever Home. This lovely Lab is sure to blossom into an incredible companion. She’s being fostered in Wausau, WI.

*******
Adopting a Lab can be a wonderful experience. Your new dog will need lots of love, adequate exercise and attention. Keep in mind that dog ownership may include additional costs for training, grooming, and health care beyond annual vaccines and monthly preventatives. It’s a lifetime commitment!
