Meet Ruby! She is a 4 year old, redbone coonhound mix who is 4 years old and weights 55-60 pounds. Ruby is a sweet and happy girl who didn't have a knack for hunting so she came to us to find a bear free home! Having been chained....Ruby will need a patient new family who is ready to show her the joys of being a part of a family! Ruby is a little nervous is new situations and wants to get away from things she finds scary. Once she gets comfortable, she is wiggly and affectionate! Ruby has lived and hunted with other dogs but is likely not the best match for a home with cats. <br/><br/>Ruby is a beautiful girl who is hoping to start a beautiful new life! Are you the fresh start she has been waiting for? <br/><br/>Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
