Ruby's Story

RUBY

Ruby is a bright and lovable 5month-old Husky/Anatolian Shepherd/Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her curiosity. Cute, cuddly, and always ready to explore, Ruby approaches the world with excitement and a wagging tail. Every new sound, smell, and adventure captures her attention, making each day an opportunity for discovery. She has recently discovered her tail and thinks it’s the most exciting toy ever! With fierce determination, she spins in happy little circles trying to catch the wiggly thing that follows her everywhere.

Ruby is doing wonderfully with her basic commands and is learning quickly. She willingly goes into her crate and sleeps through the night. She is making great progress with her housetraining, showing just how smart and eager to please she is. When playtime winds down, Ruby’s favourite place to be is snuggled up close to her human. She loves curling up and sharing quiet time. Like many puppies, she takes her rest seriously and can be a little protective of her sleepy time - but once she’s comfortable, she’s the sweetest cuddle companion you could ask for.

Ruby is full of personality and is learning that she doesn’t need to guard her favorite toys or treats from other dogs. Her canine foster siblings are helping to teach her that there are enough toys and snacks for everyone. She isn’t the biggest fan of car rides yet and occasionally gets a bit carsick, but with patience, training, and practice she’s getting braver and more confident.

With her playful spirit, loving nature, and growing confidence, Ruby is quickly becoming the perfect mix of loyal friend, curious explorer, and expert snuggler. She can’t wait to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own.

Ruby has received age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, treated with Simparica Trio, and is microchipped.

It helps pay for food, vet bills and any other expenses that the dogs require while in foster care with Paws United Dog Rescue. Each dog goes to their new home after being vet checked and vaccinated. Any dog over the age of 6 months has also been spayed/neutered and micro-chipped. All dogs over the age of 6 months have also been heart-worm tested. All adopters will receive a medical history and be made aware of any behaviour problems and any known history from before the dog came to us.
