Meet Ruby! What’s more precious than gold? A Ruby! And this Ruby is the sweetest little gem you’ll ever meet. She’s an 8-lb Chihuahua–Italian Greyhound mix who’s all sugar and no spice! Ruby is gentle, affectionate, and loves to cuddle on the couch. She’s also got a playful side and enjoys short bursts of zoomies with her squeaky toys. She’s dog-friendly, cat-neutral, and surprisingly quiet for a chi—only offering the occasional yip when the mail carrier stops by. Her only “flaw”? She’s still working on her potty training and just needs a bit of encouragement and consistency. Due to her very small size, she would do best in house with no children under 12 or dogs over 20lbs. If you’re looking for a loving, low-key companion who’s as precious as her name, Ruby’s your girl! ?

A Friend In Need Small Breed Rescue's Adoption Policy

Our adoption process begins with an application, followed by a phone interview, background and reference checks, and a home inspection or meet-and-greet with the dog. If the meet-and-greet is successful, the applicant begins a three-week foster-to-adopt period. If the dog proves to be a good fit after this period, we collect the adoption fee, complete the necessary paperwork, and finalize the adoption

Our mission is to rescue and transport small breed dogs in danger of euthanasia, ensure they receive appropriate veterinary care, and facilitate their placement into permanent homes.
