Ruby

Ruby and her sister Dakota have had a long journey. They came from a home where they were not living in a sanitary environment which they escaped several times. During these ventures throughout the neighborhood, Ruby specifically sought out a few cats. Without going into details, it did not end well for the cats. Ruby just has a high prey drive, so any home she goes to can absolutely not have cats. She gets along with her sister Dakota for the most part, but has been slightly reactive around other dogs. It is not impossible for her to enjoy other dogs, but it will likely take repeated, slow introductions. Ruby is incredibly sweet and loves people, she just would shine best as the only animal in the home. Ruby has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)
