Ruby's Story
Meet Ruby!

Ruby is a 2 year old village special.
This is what her foster says about her-
“She has a timid personality at first but warms up to a very loving and committed companion.
She likes to be near always. She follows me around the house and is content to sit close by while I enjoy my hobbies.
Going for walks is a fun time for Ruby. She enjoys being out exploring on leash. She is patient to stay nearby and does not pull on the lead.
She is short coated and gets chilled easily outside so she enjoys being spoiled with a dog coat for walks.
Ruby is very keen to training. She knows sit, lie down, stay, spin and is very treat oriented for further training skills. Eager to please.
She likes her chewy toys and a chewy bone.
Ruby is currently being fostered with another large dog and cat. She has come to not just tolerate the cat but they now are sleeping in the same spaces together with no worries.
Ruby does have a little bit of food guarding around another animal but not humans. We are working on the food guarding.
Ruby lets me brush her and clip her nails without too much fuss.
Ruby is housebroken and has had no accidents inside. However she won’t tell me if she has to go out but will do a little dance when I ask if she’s ready to go out.
Ruby has had no inclination to barking. Even when my other dog is barking Ruby does not get involved in barking at anything.
Ruby plays nice with my other dog. But she is sometimes more of a princess and would rather just sit and snuggle.
I’ve left Ruby alone to run errands and she does not seem to have any separation anxiety. She did not tear anything up while I was away and was happy to see me home.
Ruby is not the biggest fan of riding in the car but we haven’t had her out much.
I have not had Ruby around children yet. Because she can be a little shy at first I cannot guess how she would do in a busy household.
Ruby needs someone she can put her full trust in and have a consistent relationship with.
She is partial to men or women. Children unknown.
Chickens might not be the best idea around Ruby. She is very curious and has attempted to chase them.

Ruby is a very sweet and smart little dog and will be a wonderful addition to someone looking for that special furry companion.”

Adoption fee covers his neuter, microchip and age appropriate vaccinations!

If interested in adoption please click the link below and fill out and submit an application to akcatanddog@gmail.com

https://airtable.com/shrfDEP6n2rNFyHdNI’m
