Ruby's Story
Ruby is a very special dog. When she finds her person, she is the most loyal companion. Ruby loves to follow her person around the house so she can be close at all times. She may not always be cuddly, but when Ruby wants to cuddle, she is a sweetheart. When she is feeling happy and safe, Ruby will sometimes hold a piece of a blanket in her mouth and knead the blanket like a cat. Be careful though! If she notices you watching, she might get embarrassed and stop. Ruby loves to go on walks, chase away birds and squirrels in the backyard, play with her favorite toy rope, and roll around on her back. Ruby's least favorite things are being left alone and storms. This girl definitely has some anxiety which can cause her to be reactive.
Ruby would do best in a home as an only pet with no children around. Strangers can be scary to Ruby, as she wants to protect her people, so be careful with introductions!

Ruby definitely has boundaries she wants respected, but she always gives warnings to whoever starts crossing them. She can act like a grumpy old lady, but Ruby is truly a softy at heart. Ruby will love her people with all her heart and her big smile will let you know how happy she is to be around.
