Rubble's Story

Hi, I’m Rubble, a one-year-old mixed-breed pup who’s had a bit of a rough start but is so ready for a fresh beginning with someone patient and kind. I can be timid when I first meet new people, but once I learn I’m safe, I become your quiet little shadow, happy to follow you from room to room just to be near you. I do best with older kids who understand that trust takes time, and with friendly dogs I absolutely love to run, play, and romp around—I’m good at listening when they tell me I’m getting a bit too excited. With people, I’m a gentle soul who likes to nuzzle close and settle in while you work, relax, or just enjoy a peaceful day at home. I really am a special guy with so much love to give, and I’d be thrilled to get to know you better. Come meet me today—I’m sweeter than you can imagine.

Great Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am-7pm. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18. -Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member! Adoption Requirements: - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. - For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets. - Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $450. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
