Roxy's Story

## Meet Roxy

**6-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix**

Sweet, sassy, and a **major lap dog**, Roxy is a little girl who loves her people and wants nothing more than to be close to them! This adorable Chihuahua/Dachshund mix is now safe with our rescue, has been spayed, and is ready to find a home where she can be loved for the special girl she is. She was an owner surrender as she was not allowed at her apartment.

Roxy loves lounging in the sunshine, enjoying the grass, and soaking up attention from her favorite humans. She knows her basic commands, walks nicely on a leash, is fine home alone during the day . She is also kennel trained. She has lived with other dogs and cats but tends to prefer doing her own thing rather than making lots of furry friends.

Roxy can be vocal and wary when meeting strangers or experiencing new situations, she will growl to strangers and need them to let her come to them. She needs a little time to feel comfortable and does best with calm, patient people who let her warm up at her own pace. Once she knows you, her affectionate side shines! She would love a quieter home without a lot of chaos, where introductions can be taken slowly and she can settle in and feel safe. She prefers a home without kids so she can just relax.

Roxy is looking for a special someone who understands that trust takes time and that a little sass comes with all that love. In return, you'll have a devoted little companion who will happily claim her spot right beside you-or, even better, curled up in your lap! She sleeps under the covers with you at night.

**Could Roxy be your new little shadow?** She's ready for a fresh start and a family who will give her the patience, security, and love she deserves.

**Adoption fee: $450 plus tax.**
Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org
