Roxy's Story

Meet Roxy! This sweet 2.5-year-old, 40 lb girl is looking for a patient, loving home where she can keep showing everyone just how special she is ❤️
Roxy came to a local shelter as a stray and was so frightened that she spent weeks too scared to leave her kennel. Arctic Rescue knew she needed a quieter place and a little extra TLC, so we brought her into foster care and gave her the time and space she needed to decompress. Now, her happy, playful, and wonderfully silly personality is shining!
Roxy loves to run, play, zoom around the yard, and talk to her people. Her foster says she’s very well-behaved, although she does have one mischievous hobby: stealing shoes! She also does wonderfully with her kennel, going inside easily and settling comfortably.
This smart girl is very food motivated and quickly learned that sitting nicely can earn her a treat. Now, she proudly offers her best sit even when there isn’t a treat involved!
Roxy bonds deeply with the people she trusts and would thrive with a calm, patient family that understands she may need a little time to feel comfortable. She currently lives with dogs and cats and does well with both.
If you have a soft spot for shy dogs and would love the incredibly rewarding experience of watching one continue to blossom, Roxy may be your girl.
Apply to adopt Roxy through Arctic Rescue at arcticrescue.org/adopt.

Please note that all Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “Yes” for “Needs Experienced Adopter.” Northern breeds often have higher exercise, training, and care needs, so if you’re new to Huskies or similar breeds, we encourage you to do some research to make sure they’re the right fit for your lifestyle.

Arctic Rescue's Adoption Policy
HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
