Roxy's Story
Meet Roxy!

Roxy is a gorgeous, brindle colored Pit Bull mix who is around 10 years young and weighs approximately 70 pounds. And let us tell you something about this girl, she is an absolute GEM! While Roxy may technically be considered a senior, nobody seems to have told her that! She’s still full of life, loves to play, gets the zoomies, and has the sweetest, happiest personality you could ever ask for.

Sadly, Roxy hasn’t had the easiest life. It’s clear she was used extensively for breeding, and she eventually found herself in an overcrowded shelter. Thankfully, those days are behind her, and she’s now thriving in a loving foster home while she waits for the forever family she has always deserved. Despite everything she’s been through, Roxy doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in her body. She’s gentle, affectionate, friendly, and just an all-around wonderful dog.

Roxy is currently fostered with other dogs, including small breeds, as well as cats, and she does beautifully with everyone! She’s also fantastic with children of all ages, including the very young children in her foster home. She’s truly one of those dogs who just seems to love everyone and everything. Whether it’s making new friends, going for a car ride, enjoying a Starbucks pup cup, or getting excited for treat time, Roxy finds happiness in all the little things!

And while this girl certainly still has a playful side, she’s equally happy to spend the day relaxing. Roxy is a professional at Netflix and chill! She loves curling up beside her people, snuggling close, and enjoying a lazy day on the couch. She’s the perfect combination of playful and laid-back, making her a wonderful companion for someone who wants a dog who can enjoy a little adventure but is just as content staying home and relaxing.

Roxy also has fantastic house manners! She’s fully house trained, goes potty outside, and is crate trained, although she doesn’t really need to be crated. She currently has her own little foster bedroom where she stays when her family is away, and she does wonderfully. She’s clean, respectful of her space, and doesn’t make a mess. For someone looking for an easygoing, well mannered companion, Roxy really checks so many boxes!

Roxy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and will have her health certificate prior to adoption. We know that being a 70 pound senior Pit Bull mix may mean she gets overlooked, but we truly hope someone sees what we see in this special girl. Roxy is proof that senior dogs still have so much life, love, and happiness left to give. She’s sweet, social, playful, cuddly, wonderful with kids, dogs, and cats, and already has the house manners that make her such an easy addition to a family.

After spending so much of her life giving, it’s finally Roxy’s turn to be spoiled, cherished, and loved for the rest of her days. We have a feeling whoever gives this beautiful girl a chance is going to wonder how they ever lived without her!

https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application
