Roxy's Story
Meet Roxy!
Senior (8+ years old) Spayed Female Fawn Pug

Roxy is an adorable lady pug who appreciates a nice comfy bed, a good head scratch, lots of fun toys (especially those that squeak) and delicious snackies.

Roxy prefers not to be handled much - especially by her groomer and Vet Techs. She is not a fan of being poked and prodded, and definitely is not a fan of the dreaded nail trim! She has bitten in the past while being handled and is therefore not a good candidate for a home/family with young children.

Roxy is low to medium energy and much prefers a cool place to play with her toys and take a nap over being in a yard. She is housebroken and will go outside to do her business and then quickly wants to come back in. Roxy does walk well on a harness and leash.

Roxy interacts amazing well with other dogs of her size. She is tolerant of younger pup antics but prefers the company of other mellow small dogs. She really likes to be with her human and prefers to lay at/near your feet, next to your bed or under your desk while you’re working.

Sadly, Roxy has been in several homes over her lifetime. She was surrendered to a local shelter where she was adopted. That adopter surrendered her to CPR as they could no longer care for her. Roxy came to CPR and has been in foster care with other pug siblings while her skin and ear infections cleared up. Roxy has some pigmentation in her eyes but still has good vision and gets around just fine. Roxy is starting to show some arthritis in her hind end and would benefit from joint supplements. Roxy may eventually need anti-inflammatories for her arthritis and possibly eye drops for her eyes. She is not currently on any medication or special diets. Roxy is now ready to find a forever family to love and love her back.

Compassionate Pug Rescue considers applicants 25 years and older that reside within the state of Florida only.

If you meet the restrictions above and you are interested in Penny, please apply online at:
https://compassionatepugrescue.com/adopt-surrender/
