ROXY's Story

Roxy (A565907) is an excellent, sweet older girl who has reached the perfect stage of life. At 7 years old, she is past all the puppy nonsense and fully confident in who she is. She enjoys pretty sitting, checking out her surroundings and simply hanging out with you without needing constant entertainment or attention. Roxy has tested well with a male dog and while she likes to maintain her independence, she will break out into play from time to time. A dog on a similar wavelength, one who respects her space but is still open to the occasional romp, would be an ideal match for her. She also shows signs of being house trained, which is always a nice bonus with a grown lady like Roxy. She knows sit and stay and she is very treat motivated which makes her easy to work with. Once she knows you, she loves cuddles and gentle affection and will happily soak up attention without being demanding about it. Roxy is truly a wonderful companion for someone who wants a calmer, respectful, low key friend by their side. Roxy is estimated to be around 7 years old and weighs 46 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30 day flea/tick preventative. Ready to meet Roxy? Stop by 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and be able to provide a valid ID.
