Roxie's Story

Roxie is a petite (55 pound), outgoing girl who makes friends quickly and easily. She is between 2-3 years old and is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly! Her petite size makes her a great fit for a lot of situations.

Roxie is good with all shapes and sizes of animals. She has been around horses, cats, and big and little dogs. Roxie has a playful nature and enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with a willing participant. She is not pushy with dogs who are are not interested in playtime. While she is not at all aggressive with cats, some may not appreciate her playful nature. So, she will do better with dog savvy cats. In true Lab fashion, Roxie loves toys and water. She will zoom around playfully for a while, then is content to settle down with a toy or for a nap. She enjoys a hard chew toy or Benebone to keep her busy.

Roxie is an easy girl to love. She will do fine with an active family who enjoys her playfulness. She is also calm enough that lazing around is not a problem. Roxie loves car rides and will enjoy going on adventures with her new family. She hasn't been around children but would most likely be fine.

Roxie still needs some work on her manners and will jump at first but learns quickly. She is crate trained and house trained. She will need consistency and regular trips outside to continue her house training. Roxie should be crated when left alone. She may bark initially but will settle quickly.

Roxie is a super sweet, easy girl. She is good natured, healthy, and eager to please. She would be a wonderful addition to just about any home!

Roxie will be available for adoption in RI on, or after, September 25th, 2026

If you are interested in Roxie and are an approved adopter, please contact your Adoption Coordinator to be added to Roxie’s list.
