ROXI's Story

Roxi is Friendly, Fun & Well-Mannered

Roxi is a well-balanced dog ⚖️ . She is curious and playful - she also loves interacting with people and is great at entertaining herself too - just hand over the ball ⚽ or squeaky toy and watch her go!

BIO:
- Shepherd mix, 2 yr old, Female
- Medium/Large size (50 lb), Medium-energy
- Roxi was rescued from a fly-in community north of Thunder Bay, by the Northern Rescue Network. While in care she had 7 puppies - that have all been adopted
- Roxi is house-trained, microchipped and has her core vaccinations (will be spayed soon)

ABOUT ROXI:
- Good and easy-going on a leash. When other dogs walk by she is not reactive. She will stop to watch squirrels and sometimes want to chase them but mostly just likes watching them
- A social girl who uses her voice to connect, particularly when kenneled, we’re not sure how she would be in a home environment, but in the shelter’s backyard she is not vocal to outside activities
- Good in a car, will jump right in and settle down
- Highly agile and athletic, she’ll need secure fencing as she can scale lower gates and fences - this also makes her a great candidate for further agility training

ROXI’S IDEAL HOME:
- Roxi enjoys spending time outdoors and would benefit from a household that will give her regular walks and plenty of time outside to play her favourite games in the backyard
- Roxi could be good with other pets in the home, if her potential adopter already has a dog (or cat) we will arrange for a meet & greet
- Roxi would be a great match for a home with older, dog-savvy children who can support her continued training and respect her personal space
- Would be better in a no-shared wall environment because she can be vocal
- She is a dog that likes working and training, so if you’re interested in building a fun, rewarding partnership with an eager learner, she could be a great match for you.

It’s time for this Mama to enjoy her ‘me’ time 💜 and she’s going to make one lucky family 🍀 very, very happy 😊!

If you have any questions about Roxi contact her Adoption Coordinator at: dog.adoption.coordinator.2@etobicokehumanesociety.com
