Hi there, I'm Roxanne! I am such an adorable little lady. I am quite timid and shut down when meeting new people and being introduced to new situations, so will need a patient, adult-only home without frequent visitors to help me thrive. I am doing well in the playrooms with other small dogs and like to keep to myself. As I have become more accustomed to my routine here at the rescue, I have been becoming more comfortable and letting some of my silly and sweet personality shine! I have become a volunteer favorite because once I am used to people and situations, I like to wiggle my way up to my safe humans and ask for affection. Please don't expect this behavior right away, though! It took a few weeks of diligent effort and consistent routine for me to feel safe enough to warm up, and the people here think it will take me a bit in the home to show my true colors. Given some patience and a lot of love, I will come around and be such a sweet companion.
