Roux's Story

Meet Roux!

Roux is a 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog weighing in at a perfect 35 pounds of smart, sporty, loyal fun. True to her breed, Roux is clever, curious, and always tuned in to the world around her, like she’s ready for her next adventure at any moment.

Roux is past the tiny puppy stage but still full of youthful energy and enthusiasm. She’s an active girl who loves to play, and she’s got some serious skills. Roux is working on basic commands, can catch a ball, and is always up for a good game of fetch or tug-of-war. She’s happy to play with people or other dogs. When playtime is over she is happy to curl up and cuddle.

Roux would love a home with a playful canine buddy. A cat would not enjoy being in a home with her, she considers a game of chase fun, the cats are not amused. Because Roux enjoys her zoomies, a physically fenced yard is required. She is house and kennel trained.

Australian Cattle Dogs are known for their loyalty and intelligence, and Roux is ready to be someone’s devoted companion. She will thrive with an adopter who can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and a little fun training along the way.
Roux is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped.

If you would like to meet Roux, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. Fur Fun Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our dogs are all in foster homes. We require a completed application prior to meeting one of our dogs. The adoption application is on our website: furfunrescue.org. Once the application is received, we check the veterinarian reference if you have or have had pets. Then we contact you to set up a time to meet the dog. If, after meeting the dog you want to proceed with an adoption, we will run a background check, call personal references, and do a home visit. We always introduce our dog to any current pets. The final step is completing the adoption contract.
