Rosie is a beautiful 7-month-old Great Dane/Catahoula mix with a big personality and lots of playful puppy energy! She is food motivated, takes treats gently, and is easily redirected when something catches her attention. Rosie can get excited in her kennel and may jump or bark when she sees someone coming, but this appears to be excitement rather than concerning reactivity. Once out and interacting, she enjoys attention and has a fun, social personality.<br/><br/>Rosie did wonderfully with full-body handling, remaining comfortable while her paws, ears, tail, collar, and body were touched. She especially enjoyed the hugging portion of her evaluation—the evaluator noted that Rosie “wanted more hugs + kisses.” She also showed a nice level of interest in toys. Rosie showed no concerning food or possession guarding behaviors, allowing interaction with her food and valued items throughout testing.<br/><br/>When it comes to other dogs, Rosie is definitely a high-energy player! She immediately tried to initiate play with both dogs she met, using play bows, pawing, friendly whining, and barking. Her play style can be very rough and enthusiastic, but she was easily redirected. Her evaluation categorized her as likely all-around dog friendly, although a canine companion who appreciates her energetic play style would likely be the best match.<br/><br/>Rosie was also introduced to a cat and showed curious but polite behavior, approaching to sniff while remaining loose and social rather than showing fixation or predatory behavior.<br/><br/>At only 7 months old, Rosie is still a big, goofy puppy with plenty of learning and growing ahead of her. She would thrive with a family ready to continue her positive-reinforcement training and give her appropriate outlets for all that puppy energy.
