ROSIE's Story

Rosie — retired mama looking for her safe landing spot Rosie is a 3-year-old Lab mix who has already lived a full life as a momma dog and has clearly “seen some things” along the way. She came into the shelter due to unfortunate circumstances, and the stress of the kennel environment has been extremely hard on her. In the kennel, Rosie is showing just how overwhelmed she feels—trembling, trying to escape, and unfortunately injuring herself in the process. She is not coping well in that setting and needs out as soon as possible to decompress and feel safe again. Outside of the kennel environment, there is a very different dog trying to shine through. * Rosie does well with dogs of similar energy * She can be reactive along fence lines * No cats for this girl * She would do best in an active home that includes her in daily life and adventures Rosie is not the type of dog who will thrive being left behind or confined to a sedentary lifestyle—if she isn’t included, she will try to create her own outlet for energy and stress. What she truly needs is structure, patience, and a family willing to let her be part of their world. Underneath the stress is a dog who just needs stability, safety, and someone to finally say: you’re home now.
