Rosie - AVAILABLE TO FOSTER OR ADOPT's Story

Rosie recently stayed with a temporary foster during the winter storm, and we got the BEST report card — truly A+ behavior all around. 🐾 This 1 year old, 45lb lab/hound mix is a true joy!

Rosie is:
- Housebroken
- Crate trained (does great with a Kong or chew if crated longer)
- Well-mannered indoors — no chewing on furniture, shoes, or clothes
- Quiet — only an occasional bark while watching out the window
- Loving & affectionate — she adores pets and attention

She has a good amount of energy and benefits from walks, playtime, or a trip to sniff around the dog park, but she also handled “stuck inside” days like a champ by entertaining herself with toys. She loves bones and plush toys and is very food motivated — but not food aggressive and easily redirected.

At night, Rosie slept outside the crate in her own bed and would gently come over with a little whimper if she needed a potty break. No mischief, no messes — just a polite, loving girl who wants to be near her people.

Overall? Rosie is a wonderfully loving pup who would make an amazing companion. She’s ready for a foster home or, even better, a forever family to call her own.

If you can foster Rosie or are interested in adopting her, please apply at redbarnrescue.com — she’s ready to pack her bags!
