ROSIE-ARKANSAS (FEMALE DOODLE PUPPY IN MAGNOLIA, ARKANSAS)'s Story
**ROSIE IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! SHE IS A PRECIOUS PUPPY!

Rosie is a young puppy who was found as a stray with her mom. We will review your application & email you if you made our short list of applicants for Rosie. Please respond within 24 hours if you receive an email from us about making our short list.

*You can check the status of their adoption at www.doodles.petfinder.com or any of our social media pages. We will change her status to adopted when she is adopted.

*We base our adoption decisions on what is in the best interest of our dogs. Please note our adoption policies are in place for the safety and welfare of our dogs. We are all volunteers and have jobs, families, pets of our own to care for. We do the best that we can to get back to you in a timely manner. We believe in taking time to go through our thorough process to try to match the dog with the best fit for that dog.

*You must be approved to adopt Rosie before we will schedule a meet and greet.

*AGE: She was born around 7/22/26; she will be ready to go to her adoptive homes around 8 weeks of age which is 9/22/26.

*WEIGHT:
*She weighed around 10 lbs. and is still growing. We have no idea what her adult size will be as she was found as a stray. We know her mother is a Doodle who weighs 30 lbs. We don’t know who the puppy dad is.

*FENCE REQUIREMENT: A physical fence is recommended. No electronic fences will be allowed. She would be most successful in a fenced yard and should be monitored at all times because they are typical puppies and get into everything!

*COAT TYPE: wavy hair. We don't know what her adult coat will be like; it may shed some - we just can't say. She may need to be groomed regularly and brushed routinely. The new family should be prepared to have her groomed regularly depending upon her coat.

*ENERGY LEVEL: High puppy energy. She would do best with at least 2 good walks a day and lots of running around. She will need their puppy energy expended through physical & mental exercise. She loves to play, love to run and to explore!

*DOGS: Yes. She is great with other dogs in the foster home.

*CATS: Unknown; no exposure to cats in the foster home. We think she will be fine with cats as she is so young.

*KIDS: She has not been exposed to children in her foster home although we think she will likely be great with kids.

*CAR: She has been transported in the car in a crate and did ok.

*CRATE: She is kept in a playpen during the day and night and uses pee pads to potty. They are starting to learn to go outside to potty.

*HOUSE TRAINED: She will need work with house-training and is learning how to potty outside. She is eating 2 times a day right now while she is still growing.

*LEASH: She will need to learn how to walk on leash when she is old enough. She isn't fully vaccinated so can’t go on walks until after all of her puppy vaccines.

She was found as a stray with their mom. She forgot her birth certificate so we aren’t sure who her daddy was or what her adult size will be. We think she is some type of Doodle as we had her mom and she looks like a Doodle. We think she may be smaller to medium sized; her mom weighs 30 lbs.

Here is what her foster mom has to say about Rosie:

She is super sweet and needs a home with a patient family who is willing to train a puppy. She is cuddly, loving, smart, inquisitive, food driven, and playful. She would love a home with a secured fenced-in yard so she can practice zoomies and explore.

Adjectives that describe her:
-Cuddly
-People-pleaser
-Playful
-Snuggly
-Affectionate
-Curious
-Energetic
-Smart
-Loving

Due to the intense needs of puppies, we will require adopters to be experienced dog owners with someone home during the day, so the puppy is provided with human interaction while continuing to work on training and socialization. We are looking for adopters who understand the training, exercise & socialization needs of puppies.

She is current on DAPP and Bordetella. She has received dewormer, are current on heartworm/flea tick preventives and are microchipped. She is too young for Rabies vaccine and should get that around 16 weeks of age.

She is too young to be spayed. IDOG will hold a $200 spay deposit. The adopter will be required under contract to spay her by 12 months of age. You will need to send the vet receipt to IDOG and we will then refund the deposit. If you fail to get the puppy spayed by 12 months of age per the adoption contract terms, you will be required to return the puppy back to IDOG Rescue.

ADOPTION FEE: $350 adoption fee + $200 refundable spay deposit to be refunded upon proof of spay by 12 months of age.

ADOPTION FEE EXPLANATION:
Puppies and highly adoptable dogs such as our puppies have a higher adoption fee to help IDOG cover the vetting and expenses of the other dogs in IDOG whose adoption fees do not cover their expenses. Our expenses are very high these days due to increased vetting expenses, board and train costs, medical/health issues and surgery that is needed for some of our dogs. IDOG relies heavily on donations to bridge the gap between our adoption fees and our expenses. Unfortunately, donations are down across the board for all rescues.

TO APPLY FOR ROSIE-ARKANSAS, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: http://www.idogrescue.com/adoption_application
