Rosie's Story

Meet Rosie! This amazingly resilient Husky mix comes to us from a hoarding situation in Navajo county. This amazingly resilient girl is ready to meet her forever family! She is currently approaching 6 months old and working to channel her high energy into playful and appropriate behaviors. Despite her humble beginnings, Rosie has remained resilient against all odds from the moment she was rescued from the unsafe/unhealthy hoarding situation of 47 dogs in a small space. She was going to make it to rescue and that she did!

She is your typical puppy in a lot of ways: learning how to walk on a leash, learning how to share with other doggie friends, and learning how to become a socialized part of a pack. She has spent most of her time in foster care with other larger pack dogs, following their lead while maintaining her energetic and super confident personality. She says hello to everyone she meets and is good with other dogs. Rosie needs a family who will continue the good work of her current fosters. She has some mild puppy resource guarding with other dogs, but it’s been easily corrected so far with patience and redirection with treats. Rosie is potty trained, can use a dog door and knows how to sit for treats. She still needs some help learning the difference between treats she can chew on and things that shouldn’t be in her mouth.

Rosie would be a great companion for a young, playful dog or a young active adult/couple as well. We also think she could do well as an only dog in the right home. She would do well in a home with children 7+ and would be a wonderful addition to many families. She has not been introduced to cats. Will you be her forever cuddles and affection she so desperately needs and deserves? If you desire and have the heart for a happy, resilient and confident puppy, Rosie is waiting for YOU!

Adoption application: https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/
