Rosie's Story

Rosie has waited 5 years to be free to find out if dreams can really come true. Her dream is to find true companionship and love. I'm sure there were times she wondered if dreams were real at all. Her life was anchored in fear and lonliness. Her resilience to survive with a heart full of sweetness and love intact is truly remarkable. Rosie is tender, sweet and one of the smartest dogs I've ever known. She lived with her brother and cats. Her brother died. He was wonderful and it was heartbreaking on Rosie. Finally, the cats were rescued, and Rosie was rescued. Freedom came shining a light into their darkness. <br/> Rosie welcomed the affection, attention, love and care she received. She is good with other dogs. Rosie is 5 years old and 47 pounds. She is spayed and current on all vaccines. She is house-trained, good on a leash, and listens well to commands. She is shy at first, but always friendly. She loves quickly and deeply. She is obedient and hugs make her happy. Rosie needs a life with activity and fun as she learns about the big world out there. She has some insecurity left over but the smallest encouragement gives her renewed confidence. The past is melting away into all smiles. Rosie is a survivor and a shining star. Neverending Ivy's Adoption Policy
We must have a completed application. After reviewing the application of a potential adopter, we will either do a phone call interview, or email applicant a denial response based on the application. If the goes past the phone interview, we move forward with vet checks, home checks, social media checks, etc. After this, we will arrange a home visit with the dog. Our policy states that if an adopter ever cannot keep the animal, they must return to the rescue. The cannot give the animal away to family or friends or anyone, and cannot turn in to a shelter. We do keep adopters on a mailing list and request updates and share what we are doing throughout the year. We are always available to the adopter for questions, suggestions or help.
