Meet Rosie

This sweet girl is in a foster home but needs to find a family to call her own.
She is 1-2 years old and loves people. She is house trained and loves to play.

Although Rosie is living with another dog, and has met other friends, she likely was not well socialized young and can be fearful and show fear aggression with pushy strong dogs.

She is a great trail, snowshoe, or cross county ski companion. She stays right with her foster mom and does not chase after other skiers or dogs.

She has a loving and very happy pitty spirit.

She is probably best in a home without cats.

We cannot confirm that dogs who come from the shelter will be house trained.

Most adoptable dogs will need some reintroduction into a home, potty training, basic manners and social skills.

Please be prepared to provide the training and dedication that will be needed.

We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals.

*** This is why it is important that we introduce everyone in the home to the new pet. Please plan to have the whole family come visit.

*** We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.

*** All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.

*** Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:45 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 970 626 2273
