Rosemary's Story

Her puppies have all gone home. Now it's Rosemary's turn. Rosemary has officially become our longest resident after spending months waiting for a family of her own.The truth is, Rosemary isn't the right fit for every home, and that's okay. She wants to be your one and only. Rosemary would thrive as the only pet in a home with older children, where she doesn't have to share your attention with other animals. She can be reactive around dogs and cats, so she's looking for a family who understands her needs and will love her for exactly who she is. And who is she? A shelter favorite! A beautiful, polite walking companion who eagerly looks forward to her weekly hikes with our volunteers. A goofy girl who loves treats, cuddles, and soaking up every bit of attention from her favorite people. She's spent months watching other dogs leave while she patiently waits for someone who's looking for her. Rosemary doesn't need every family to choose her. She just needs the right one.

Northeast Ohio SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are unable to put our shelter pets on hold. For this reason, we recommend in-state adoptions as we cannot guarantee that the animal will still be available if traveling from another state. All adoption applications need to be completed at our facility. To apply, you must have an occupation and reside in a house, condo, apt, etc. that allows pets. Included in the two-page application is a request for two references. Adoption applications are reviewed the day they are submitted and are typically approved the same day. Adopters are able to take their new pet home immediately after the application has been approved. If the potential adopter already has a dog(s) at home, we recommend a meet & greet for all of our shelter pets.
