Rose's Story
Rose is a 13–14 year-old terrier mix who’s as soulful as they come. With her beautiful, wise eyes and calm, gentle spirit, she’s the kind of dog who can make any space feel like home. She is fully vaccinated, HW neg, and spayed.

At 47 pounds, Rose is the perfect medium size and has a low energy level that makes her an easy companion for someone looking for a relaxed best friend. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash (though she may get a little excited if something interesting catches her eye). Rose rides well in the car, enjoys sniffing around outside, and would be just as content in an apartment with regular walks as she would in a home with a yard.

This sweet girl is good with men, women, and kids. She does well with other dogs—especially the boys in her foster home—but would prefer not to share space with dominant females or cats. Rose isn’t a lap dog, but she’s the ultimate companion: she loves attention and pets, yet is perfectly happy to curl up and nap nearby while you go about your day.

Like many senior ladies, Rose has her little quirks. She’s on Apoquel and medicated baths for some skin allergies (which are improving!), has a few “old lady lumps and bumps,” and will let you know when it’s mealtime or potty time. She also gets nervous during thunderstorms and may pace or whine until the storm passes.

Rose’s ideal home is one where she can enjoy love, comfort, and security for her golden years. She still has a spring in her step, but her favorite pastime is just being near her people and soaking in their affection.

If you’re looking for a soulful, steady, and utterly lovable companion, Rose might just be the girl for you.

She is presently being fostered in the Greer, SC area. We require a home check and vet references. Therefore you must be a reasonable driving distance from the areas we serve ( Mills River NC / Greenville SC). PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR JUNK OR SPAM FOLDER as we reply to all inquiries.

Adoption application:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSea0RmKngqzXzOqHdkabLk5R-m388WfCfE6xQ2pCFLXqp6x3Q/viewform?usp=sf_link
