Rose's Story

Meet Sweet Rose

Sweet Rose may just be one of the smartest—and most loving—puppies her foster family has ever met. This beautiful girl has the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and affectionate cuddle bug charm.

Rose is incredibly people-focused and motivated by love and attention. She thrives on connection with her humans and is happiest when she gets to be included in everyday life. She's already showing off her brains too—she has learned to use the dog door and sleeps wonderfully in her kennel at night like a big girl.

As a growing puppy, Rose loves to play, explore, and stay active, but once the fun is over she's more than happy to curl up on the couch and snuggle with her people. She's currently learning leash walking and making great progress as she discovers the world around her.

Rose gets along beautifully with other small dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. She's currently living in an all-adult home and would likely thrive with an active family that can keep her engaged and give her room to run—she would especially love a home with a yard where she can stretch those growing puppy legs.

Rose is growing quickly, but she's still very much a puppy and is looking for a family ready to continue helping her learn, explore, and become the amazing dog she's meant to be.

If you're looking for a smart, affectionate best friend who will love you with her whole heart and then curl up beside you after a day of adventures—Sweet Rose is waiting to meet you.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt

El Paso County Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please bear with us as we process applications! We are working on changing our processes to function during the COVID-19 outbreak. We have had a big increase in people wanting to adopt (yay!) so it's taking us a bit of time to get through the applications. We work on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must apply for adoption before you will be able to meet with a pup. If you meet with a dog and decide to adopt, we can process your adoption right then and you can go home with your new family member! Thank you for adopting from us and saving our sweet dogs!
