Rose's Story

URGENT foster needed for our special puppy with a broken heart!

At only 4 months old, this sweet Mini Goldendoodle puppy should be running, playing, and living the carefree life every puppy deserves. Instead, Rose is facing a heartbreaking diagnosis that will significantly shorten her life.

Rose was sold by a "breeder" as healthy, but it was soon discovered she has a severe 5/6 heart murmur caused by pulmonic stenosis, a congenital heart condition that means her little heart is working far too hard.

She was diagnosed with severe pulmonic stenosis. She has begun heart medication to help give her the best quality of life possible and has an appointment with a cardiologist to determine if she is a candidate for a specialized balloon valvuloplasty procedure that could help give her more time. Right now she is not showing symptoms and doesn't know anything is wrong with her, but her lifespan will likely be drastically shortened. She wants to run and play but shouldn't get too much exercise at this point due to her condition. She's about 15lbs right now and should probably be about 30lbs or less full grown.

We are looking for a local foster available to bring her back and forth to our vets for her medical appointments and follow ups. She takes her medication easily in food and is a happy friendly puppy still working on housebreaking and in the teething stage.

Please submit foster application if you would like to open your home to our special girl.
