Rose's Story

Rose is currently in foster awaiting her heart surgery this summer which will hopefully extend her life!

Rose was sold by a "breeder" as healthy, but it was soon discovered she has a severe 5/6 heart murmur caused by pulmonic stenosis, a congenital heart condition that means her little heart is working far too hard.

She was diagnosed with severe pulmonic stenosis. She has begun heart medication to help give her the best quality of life possible and has an appointment with a cardiologist to determine if she is a candidate for a specialized balloon valvuloplasty procedure that could help give her more time. Right now she is not showing symptoms and doesn't know anything is wrong with her, but her lifespan will likely be drastically shortened. She wants to run and play but shouldn't get too much exercise at this point due to her condition. She is around 15lbs and doesn't seem to be growing too much bigger, and is a fun happy needy playful pup who hates being left alone and is the life of the party.
We are looking for a local adopter to bring her to her surgical and follow up appointments later this summer, but would love to get her settled in a permanent home before. We will cover the cost of her surgery and recheck until she is cleared for official adoption.

Please submit an application to open your home to this special girl Primary Color: Cream Age: 0yrs 6mths 3wks
