Rose #5's Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Rose #5 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our
adoption application
so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours
(please check your spam folder for our emails)
.

Rose #5 | 10 Weeks, Lab | Sweet Snuggler with a Silly Side

Rose is a 10-week-old black and white Lab Mix who perfectly balances playful energy with calm, cuddly charm. At just 8 pounds, she’s a petite sweetheart who loves nothing more than being close to her people—she’ll happily curl up for a nap and may even fall asleep right on your face if you let her.

Rose is doing wonderfully with early training. She’s almost fully house trained and will stand by the door to let you know when she needs to go out. She walks great on a leash and already knows several commands, including come, sit, down, no, and off. Crate training is going well—she may whine a bit at first but settles in nicely—and she’s been left alone for 4–6 hours with no major issues after an initial adjustment.

She has a medium energy level, making her a great mix of playful and easygoing. She enjoys walks, toys, and even car rides, but is just as happy to relax and cuddle. Rose is very affectionate and motivated by food and love, and she’s known to show her affection with lots of kisses—licking is definitely her love language.

Rose has had positive interactions with other dogs and kids (10+), though due to her more submissive nature, she may do best as the only dog in the home where she can build confidence and soak up all the attention. She hasn’t met cats yet. She’s still working on a few puppy habits like jumping, but she responds well to structure and is eager to please.

Rose’s ideal home is one where she’ll get plenty of one-on-one attention, a good balance of activity and downtime, and lots of opportunities to cuddle. She’s a gentle, loving pup who will make a wonderful companion.

If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.

The adoption fee for this pet is $475 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following:

Spay/neuter

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.

Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.

Please fill out an adoption application by clicking
here
. Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.
