Rose's Story

Meet Rose: A Gentle Soul Looking for Her Safe Harbor

Rose is a 6-month-old mixed breed weighing in at 45 lbs, who has come a long way from the crowded Texas shelterthe only place she ever knew as home. Because of her limited everyday exposure, the world can feel a little loud and scary to her. But once she knows shes safe, her true colors begin to bloom.

She is wary of new people and tends to gravitate more toward women than menshe just makes men work a little harder to earn her trust and love.
Rose is a professional shadowshe loves to stay right underfoot of her caregiver, looking for reassurance when things feel scary as she continues to build her confidence. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly affectionate and eager to please.
Shes already a star student who has mastered sit and wait, and shes both crate trained and housebroken (on a steady schedule).

Roses Wishlist:

- The Vibe: A quiet, patient home with little to no chaos. She thrives on routine.
- The People: Someone who understands that trust takes time. She does well with calm children, but startles easily with crying or loud, high-energy behavior.
- Pack: Shes a social butterfly with other dogs and could benefit from a confident canine companion who loves to play. She even enjoys the company of cats!
- Safety First: Because she startles easily, she needs a secure environment and a family mindful of her flight-risk status while she continues to bond and build confidence.

If you have a quiet heart, time, patience, and a peaceful home, Rose is ready to be your most loyal companion.

Before you fill out an application please be sure that a Rescue is the option through which you are going to choose to add an addition to your family. We are all volunteers at Potter’s Angels Rescue- most with full time jobs and families in addition to volunteering and going through the entire adoption process with an applicant that then purchases a dog takes up a fair amount of precious time. We would like our volunteers to focus their efforts and time on those applicants that are serious in helping a rescued animal. Here at Potters Angels Rescue, we strive to adopt our animals out to the best matches possible for them. This means that an animal other than the one who initially catches your eye may be a better fit for your home
