Rose's Story

Meet Rose: Your Gentle Shadow and Joyful Playmate

Rose is the perfect blend of serenity and spunk. Around her people, she’s calm, soulful, and deeply connected—her expressive eyes seem to whisper, “Let me be yours.” But give her a Kong Rubber Ball, and she lights up with playful energy, darting across the yard with pure delight.

After playtime, Rose settles in with ease, embracing the quiet moments and always staying close—she’s a “velcro dog” in the best way, content to be your steady companion throughout the day. Whether you're working from home or unwinding on the couch, she’s right there beside you.

She thrives in her fenced yard, joyfully chasing and retrieving throw toys, and she’s wonderfully polite about releasing them. Her gentle spirit, affectionate nature, and compact size make her an ideal match for someone seeking both fun and heartfelt companionship.

Rose is more than a pet—she’s a soulful presence, a playful partner, and a loving friend.

Adoption Process

Guardianship Application available for download at

http://tinyurl.com/MAPSFiles

The Adoption process is designed to help best place dogs with homes that are in the best interest of the dogs and their human companions. The adoption process starts with a prescreen review of an Guardian Application. Making decisions about dog placement in adoptive homes is an "art", not a "science", and there will be times when applications will be denied for various reason(s). This is left to the discretion of the MAPS after reviewing relevant information. MAPS reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care into a foster or adoptive home. There is no guarantee that any applicant(s) requesting to adopt a dog being fostered through MAPS, or posted on MAP's web site, will be granted an adoption. After a successful prescreen, including background checks, the applicant(s) are notified that they can visit the dogs and a time slot is made for the dog and applicant interaction. After the interaction we encourage several days of reflection before adopting a pet to help assure this will be a lifetime commitment of love and quality care for the dog. Next we conduct a home/neighborhood visit to the Guardian Applicant's home. If the home visit proves successful the new mom and/or dad of the dog will sign an Adoption Agreement and share a lifetime of love !
