Rose's Story
Meet Rose 🌹
— also known as Rosie or Mama Rose — a gentle soul who is finally starting to show us who she really is 💕
Now that she’s feeling safe, her personality is blooming. While she’s not much of a toy player, she absolutely gets the zoomies when she’s excited, and it’s the sweetest thing to watch. She takes a lot of cues from the other dog in the home — watching out the front window, celebrating when her people come home — which makes us think a confident canine companion could really help continue building her confidence and show her the ropes. (Another dog is a requirement).
The outside world is still a little scary for Rose. She’s very anxious outdoors, but she’s making progress at her own pace. With patience, a harness, and a leash for security, she recently celebrated a big milestone — going potty outside for the first time! Before this she was using potty pads. Every small win is a big victory for this girl.
Rose seems especially drawn to men and has formed a strong bond with her foster dad. We’re not sure about her past, but she clearly finds comfort in calm, steady energy and will thrive with adopters who understand that trust takes time.
Right now, the focus has simply been helping her feel safe and loved. She doesn’t know basic commands like sit or come yet, but she does understand “kennel” — especially when it means meals or bedtime.
She’s a smart girl who just needs someone willing to teach her gently and celebrate her progress along the way.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion and have the patience to help a shy dog continue to blossom, Mama Rose might just be your perfect match 🐾
Apply below to meet Rose! 🌹
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGLR/Dog
