Roscoe's Story

Meet Roscoe! He's a rat terrier boy who is a very happy little boy. Roscoe is good with other dogs and cats but the dogs need to be his size or smaller. NO BIG DOGS!

Roscoe is finally housebroken but will have accidents in the beginning of going to a new home until he gets used to his new environment and family.

Roscoe is a sweetheart! He loves attention and getting petted. If you stop, he will nudge you for more. He sleeps under the covers or on top of the bed, he switches around.

We have recently learned that Roscoe can climb/jump over a 4 foot chain link fence. He doesn't run away. He simply wants to be near his human. He will need to be tied out on a line or inside a 5 or 6 foot privacy fence to be safe if left unattended for any amount of time. If you're outside with him, he doesn't climb/jump the fence.

Roscoe LOVES LOVES LOVES to go on walks but he's all over the place. A no pull harness works best with him, and he would need some patience and training on walking calmly.

Roscoe does bark at new people that come over. Simply ignore him and after just a minute or two, he can't help himself and will run over to the new person for attention. He is also a good watch dog and will bark when someone comes to the door or the mailman or people walking down the sidewalk. He does stop barking when you tell him to stop.

Roscoe loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom and snuggles under the covers right next to her. He sleeps through the night but will occasionally wake up early to go outside potty. But then he's back to snuggling under the covers.

We just took Roscoe to the groomer to have his nails trimmed and he was a very good boy. A bit wiggly, but tolerated his nails clipped.

Overall, Roscoe will make a wonderful companion dog!

Approximate Age: 2-3 years old
Approximate Weight: 15-18 pounds
Adoption Fee: $325 which includes microchip

Roscoe is being fostered in North Olmsted, OH
