Rosabella's Story

Rosabella is just shy of four years old and she is roughly 90 pounds, with an ancestry that appears to have been assembled by someone shopping exclusively in the oversized section: approximately half German Shepherd, a quarter Mastiff, a quarter Great Dane and a reported 1% American Eskimo (we have her DNA). Apparently the American Eskimo is there for size control, because 90 pounds is small given her forebears.

Rosabella is fantastic with people. She has excellent manners, loves human company and is a very good girl with an extremely solid physical presence. She is powerful and athletic, but her exercise philosophy is very reasonable: romp for ten minutes, then settle down and see what everyone’s watching. She likes to play, but she does not need to train for a triathlon.

Her preferences in animal company are more specific. She generally does well with male dogs of comparable size and enjoys having a suitable playmate. Female dogs have received considerably less favorable reviews, so we are looking for a home without them. Cats are an unequivocal no.

Rosabella needs a securely fenced yard and a home with children over ten, simply because there is a substantial amount of dog here and physics applies even to very good girls. Someone comfortable handling a strong dog will find a lot to love: lovely manners, a playful side, a functioning off switch and tremendous enthusiasm for her people.

If you want a substantial best friend who can enjoy a good romp without turning your entire life into an exercise program, Rosabella would like to meet you. All 101% of her.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/ and then email katrina@bigfluffydogs.com. Please be sure to do the application in addition to emailing the coordinator as the application will get a response.

All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters should understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be.
