Rosa's Story
Rosa is a little shy and a bit weird about loud noises, but she is learning and taking in the good life. So far, that consists of her attending her first derby party and playing as much as possible with her foster siblings. She has also started doing the zoomies with her own special touch which includes seeking out obstacles to overcome. We suspect this is her life philosophy as she just continues to overcome hurdles. She has had some ongoing medical issues and is currently on prescription food to help her be as healthy as possible. Though one of her puppies sadly passed away a week later, Rosa poured all her love into caring for the seven who remained. Now that her puppies are growing up, it’s finally Rosa’s turn to be the one cared for. 💕

Rosa Louise is estimated to be about a year old and is a petite girl at just 38 pounds — the perfect “pocket pittie” size. 🥰

While we may never know what her life looked like before rescue, she is quickly learning how wonderful life as a house dog can be. She’s doing great with potty training and has proven to be very trustworthy when left hanging out in the living room while her foster family is away.

Over the past two months in foster care, Rosa has shown everyone what a joyful, easygoing girl she is. She loves playing with other dogs, chasing the water hose in the yard, going on car rides, and curling up for cozy couch naps. Give her a good chew bone and she’s perfectly happy entertaining herself for a while, too.

Rosa has never met a stranger — she greets everyone with a wagging tail and a friendly smile. At night, her favorite place to be is snuggled up in bed with her people, where she sleeps soundly and snores softly beside you. 😴

If you're looking for a loving, friendly companion with just the right mix of playful energy and snuggly sweetness, Rosa Louise might be the perfect addition to your family. After everything she’s done for her puppies, this sweet girl is ready for a lifetime of love of her very own. 🐾
