Rosa's Story

Meet Rosa!

Rosa is a 7 month old Border Collie mix with a growing, medium build and a whole lot of personality. She was just 5 pounds back in January and has definitely grown since then, though we have not gotten an updated weight yet. As a young pup, she is very much in her fun, wiggly, learning stage.

Rosa is full of life. She has that classic Border Collie mix energy, playful, curious, and always ready for the next adventure. She loves attention, thrives on interaction, and can happily turn just about anything into a game. Whether she is romping around with her siblings or soaking up affection from her people, Rosa brings joyful, happy chaos puppy energy wherever she goes. She will benefit from continued training, structure, and mental stimulation to help channel her smarts in positive ways.

We rescued Rosa in February along with her four siblings from the Bakersfield Animal Care Center after they were brought in as strays. Like so many litters who enter the shelter system, they found themselves needing help quickly, and we are so grateful we were able to step in and bring them into safety.

Rosa is fully vaccinated and spayed. She is expected to mature into a medium sized dog. With her breed mix, she will thrive in a home that values activity, enrichment, and ongoing training.

Rosa is looking for an adopter who is ready for puppy energy and all the fun and work that comes with it. She would love an active home that will continue her socialization, provide consistency, and embrace her playful spirit. With the right guidance and love, Rosa is going to grow into an incredibly loyal and fun companion.
