Rory

This big, black, beautiful Border Collie boy is Rory (aka Big Black) and we found him thumbing for a ride off the 202. People still hitchhike in Tehachapi but I wouldn’t recommend it to four-legged 3 year-olds!!! FOR ALL OF YOU BIG DOG PEOPLE, HERE’S A KEEPER! Rory’s nickname is Big Black because he is interestingly large for a Border Collie–not fat, but large in stature. Rory possesses a lot of the “Border Collie traits” but nothing in excess; he’s not too neurotic or obsessive-compulsive, but he does like to play and will bark on occasion. Rory would fit in terrifically with a family that is active and has a decent-sized yard. He is by no means high maintenance but he’d flourish with a family that could keep him entertained. Having said all of that, Big Black would just as happily lie at your feet while you work on the computer or sit on the couch and watch the Angels play ball. Rory has spent some time up here with the other dogs and currently resides with a Pit Bull girl that used to be one of the mutts (Lucy). He is well versed in most life-situations and really needs only one thing, A HOME TO CALL HIS OWN.
