He loves to play with his other doodle friends and gets along great with them, typically being a follower, but also often initiating play with the other dogs. <br/><br/>He has beautiful coloring and without a doubt has the most adorable “puppy eyes” that will melt your heart. Rooney is shy and not skittish. Once you give him patience and space he will let you pet him. We are sure that with more time and consistency, he will learn to enjoy human interaction & continue warming up! We can’t wait to keep seeing this good boy settle in and come into his own. He is also very easy to walk! <br/><br/>Rooney is in a foster home and here's the latest update: <br/>Hi everyone, Rooney here!<br/>I’ve been having such a fun time this holiday season. There are twinkly lights everywhere, new smells, and I’ve been getting braver at meeting new people! I even got to hang out with some kiddos the other day. They were playing football in the backyard, and WOW, that was exciting. I wasn’t totally sure of the rules, but I knew for sure I wanted to be part of the team.<br/><br/>I’m also proud to report that I’m getting better at this whole potty training thing. My foster family says I’m a “good boy,” which I’m pretty sure means I’m nailing it. I still have some things to work on though—like taking treats gently. I just get so excited because, well… I really, really love food. Honestly, I love all snacks. And meals. And crumbs. And anything that might secretly be food.<br/><br/>I’m also discovering new favorites—like snow! I love bouncing around in it and sticking my nose right in the fluffy stuff. After that, of course, I have to drink a bunch of water… and then accidentally splash half of it onto the floor. Oops. <br/><br/>Oh! And toys. Don’t even get me started on toys. Squeaky ones, crinkly ones, bouncy ones—I adore them all.<br/><br/>Anyway, I’m having the best time learning, growing, and enjoying all the little things. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN.
